Our Vision

Welcome to Community Kitchen and Labs, a non-profit organization dedicated to sowing the seeds of knowledge, nourishment, and empowerment in the lives of Bay Area youth. We run a cooking school for students of all ages.

 

At CKL, we believe in the transformative power of education, especially when it's intertwined with the wonders of agriculture and culinary arts. Our mission is clear: to provide young individuals with the tools and skills they need to flourish and be nourished, both in the kitchen and in life.

 

Through classes structured around themes of creativity and social good, our passionate instructors guide these budding talents as they learn the art of cultivating fresh, wholesome food from the earth.  Community Kitchen and Labs partners with urban farms and social justice initiatives to create a powerful curriculum. In our state-of-the-art culinary workshops, young chefs transform seasonal ingredients into mouthwatering creations and learn how to harvest fruits and vegetables. Along the way, they absorb lessons in sustainability, teamwork, the importance of nutrition, and self-sufficiency.
